What You'll Learn
The SIA Door Supervisor training course spans four days and consists of four distinct units. Upon completion of the course, participants will undergo a multiple-choice examination. This comprehensive training is exclusively offered through our authorized training providers.
Throughout the course, participants will acquire essential knowledge and skills in four key units. These include in-depth training on various aspects of door supervision, security industry regulations, and practical applications. The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, ensuring that participants gain a thorough understanding of their roles and responsibilities as SIA Door Supervisors.
- Unit 1
Participants will delve into foundational concepts, setting the groundwork for understanding the security industry and the role of a door supervisor. - Unit 2
Focuses on legal and operational aspects, providing insights into relevant laws and regulations governing security practices. - Unit 3
Expands on communication and conflict management skills, emphasizing the importance of effective interaction in security scenarios. - Unit 4
Covers emergency procedures, ensuring participants are equipped to handle unforeseen situations with competence and professionalism.
Course Assessment
During the course, you will be assessed on course units. The evaluation format for each unit is divided as follows:
- Unit 1
A multiple choice question exam with 40 questions. For each question, you have to choose the correct answer from the 4 options provided.
- Unit 2
A multiple choice question exam with 45 questions. For each question, you have to choose the correct answer from the 4 options provided.
- Unit 3
A multiple choice question exam with 20 questions. For each question, you have to choose the correct answer from the 4 options provided.
- Unit 4
This unit is assessed in the course based on observations by the trainer. You will need to demonstrate the basic physical intervention techniques learned in the course.
All assessments will be conducted throughout the course.
We understand that exams can be stressful or confusing for many candidates. Many course candidates have not taken the exam for a long time. The trainer in the course will equip you with all the information you need to pass.
